The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the following post:

MANAGER, PORT OPERATIONS (ON CONTRACT BASIS)

 

SALARY

QUALIFICATIONS

:

  1.  

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

  1.  

Bachelor Degree in Logistics & Transport Management or Management or Business Management or Logistics & Supply Chain Management or Economics or Member of Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (UK) (By Examinations) or equivalent

 

 

 

  1.  

Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Port Management & Shipping Administration or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 7 years’ experience in Transport and Logistics out of which 3 years should be in port environment at a Senior position

 

OR

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

  1.  

Certificate of competency as a Foreign-going Master Class I unlimited as per STCW 1978 as amended

 

 

 

  1.  

Masters in Business Administration or Masters in Port Management & Shipping Administration or equivalen

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 5 years’ experience in Port Sector at a senior position

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.
  1. The Notice of Vacancy and the MPA Application Form as well as other details regarding qualifications, duties, etc are available on the website of the Mauritius Ports Authority at www.mauport.com.
  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned post is Wednesday 31 August 2022
  1. Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  1. The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates.
