The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of vacancies in the grade of:

1.

POST

 

MANAGER (CONCESSIONS & LICENSING)

 

SALARY SCALE

 

Rs 48,200 x 1,400 – 55,200 x 2,000 – 57,200 x 2,300 – 64,100 x 3,400 – 74,300 x 4,600 – 97,300

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

(ii)

Bachelor Degree in fields of Logistics & Transport Management or Business Management or Logistics & Supply Chain Management or Economics or Finance or Law or Member of Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (UK) (By Examinations) or equivalent

 

 

 

(iii)

Master’s Degree in Business Administration or MSc in Port Management & Shipping Administration or MSc in Logistics and Transport or MSc in Economics or Msc Finance or LLM or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

At least 7 years’ experience in Transport and Logistics or in International Trade or in Legal Field out of which 3 years should be at a senior position.

Note: Candidates holding the prescribed qualifications but not possessing the required experience may also be considered for employment on a contract basis provided the applicant reckons at least 5 years’ experience in Transport and Logistics or in International Trade or in Legal Field out of which 2 years should be at a senior position

QUALIFICATIONS

 

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

      (ii)

Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health & Safety from a recognized institution or equivalent

 

 

 

(iii)

Master’s in Business Administration or Safety & Risk Management or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

 

At least 7 years’ post registration experience in Occupational, Health and Safety out of which 3 years should be at a senior position

BUNKERING OFFICER

 

SALARY SCALE

QUALIFICATIONS(a)

 

Professional Mariner as Licensed Engineer CoC (3) or Deck Officer CoC (3)

 

EXPERIENCE  (a)    

 

At least 3 years’ experience in the bunkering activity  (i.e. the supply of fuel for use by ships including shipboard logistics of loading fuel and distributing it among available bunker tanks)

 

 Note: Marine expertise would be an advantage

 

OR

 

QUALIFICATIONS(b)    

 

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

(ii)

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or BSc in Chemical Engineering or BSc in Petrochemical Engineering or BSc in Logistics and Transport   Management

 

EXPERIENCE (b)

 

At least 5 years’ post qualification experience in the bunkering activity (i.e. the supply of fuel for use by ships including shipboard logistics of loading fuel and distributing it among available bunker tanks)

CoC (1) Marine Engineer Officer as per STCW 1978 as amended

 

EXPERIENCE

 

At least 5 years’ experience not below the grade of 3rd Engineer on foreign-going vessels

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

 

Candidates should be 40 years of age or below at the closing date of submission of applications

 

Note: Consideration may also be given to qualified candidates for the post on contract basis with negotiable salary.

OFFICER, SECRETARIAL SERVICES

QUALIFICATIONS

 

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

(ii)

 

(iii)

Intermediate/Advanced Certificate in typewriting from a recognized institution or equivalent; and

Intermediate/Advanced Certificate in Word Processing, Spreadsheet Processing and Practical Data Processing Techniques from a recognized institution

 

EXPERIENCE

 

At least 5 years’ in Secretarial/Administrative duties
