The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the posts of: -

POST

:

MARINE ENGINEERING OFFICER

 

SALARY

:

Rs 42,600 x 1,400 - 55,200 x 2,000 - 57,200 x 2,300- 64,100 x 3,400 - 74, 300 x 4,600 - 83,500

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

CoC (1) Marine Engineer Officer as per STCW 1978 as amended

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 4 years’ experience not below the grade of 3rd Engineer on foreign-going vessels

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 55 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

Note: Consideration may also be given to candidates above 55 years of age for employment on contract basis

CONTROLLER, MARINE ENGINEERING

 

SALARY

:

Rs 28,800 x 1,000 - 31,800 x 1,300 - 37,000 x 1,400 - 55,200 x 2,000 - 57,200 x 2,300 - 61,800

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

CoC (3) Marine Engineering Officer as per STCW 1978 as amended or Chief Engineer Fishing vessels of not less than 3000kw

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 1 year experience as officer of the watch in the engine room of sea-going vessel

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 55 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.
  1. The Notice of Vacancies and the MPA Application Form as well as other details regarding qualifications, duties, etc are available on the website of the Mauritius Ports Authority at www.mauport.com.
  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned post is Monday 20 June 2022.
  1. Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  1. Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered.
