NOTICE OF VACANCIES

The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of vacancies in the grades of:-

1.

SALARY SCALE

:

Rs 48,200 x 1,400 - 55,200 x 2,000 - 57,200 x 2,300 - 64,100 x 3,400 - 74,300 x 4,600 - 97,300

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

Certificate of Competency as Foreign Going Master class 1 unlimited as per STCW 1978 as amended

 

EXPERIENCE

:

Proven experience as 1st mate on foreign-going vessels

OR

Proven Pilotage experience of 5 years

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 55 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

Note: Consideration may be given to candidates above 55 years of age for employment on contract basis

POST

:

TECHNICIAN, HARBOUR RADIO

 

SALARY SCALE

 

Rs 20,500 x 800 - 26,900 x 900 -27,800 x 1,000 - 31,800 x 1,300 - 37,000 x 1,400 -46,800

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’
  Note: Elementary Electrical and Electronic knowledge would be an advantage

NOTE:-

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Director General at the above address.
  2. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Friday 28 January 2022.
  3. Candidates should attach documentary evidence of work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  4. Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview.  Late applications will not be considered.
