The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified Rodriguan candidates for the filling of the under-mentioned positions:

1.	POST	:	OFFICER-IN-CHARGE (PORT MATHURIN)
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 54,300 x 1,525 – 61,925 x 2,200 – 64,125 x 2,525 – 71,700 x 3,725 – 82,875 x 5,050 – 108,125
	QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE	:	(i) Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ (ii) Bachelor Degree in Management or Business Management or Logistics & Transport or Port Management & Shipping Administration or equivalent (iii) Master’s in Business Management or Master in Logistics & Transport Management or Port Management & Shipping Administration or equivalent
			(iv) At least 7 years’ post qualification experience in administrative field out of which 3 years should be at a Senior position
			OR
			(i) Certificate of Competency as a Foreign-going Master Class I unlimited as per STCW 1978 as amended (ii) Master’s in Business Management or Masters in Port Management & Shipping Administration or equivalent (iii) At least 7 years’ experience in Port / Shipping Sector out of which 3 years should be at a Senior position

2.	POST	:	PORT OPERATIVE (RODRIGUES)
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 21,925 x 650 – 23,225 x 775 – 24,000 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 40,675
	QUALIFICATION	:	(i) Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC) (ii) Certificate of Competency as Skipper on fishing vessel of less than 24m issued by Ministry of Ocean Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Shipping or holder of Skipper Licence issued by the Tourism Authority
	EXPERIENCE	:	At least 1 year of experience on board of fishing vessels

3.	POST	:	ELECTRICIAN (RODRIGUES)
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 21,925 x 650 – 23,225 x 775 – 24,000 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 40,675
	QUALIFICATIONS	:	(i) Form 3 (ii) National Certificate Level 3 (Electrical Trade) or equivalent Vocational Training
	EXPERIENCE	:	At least 3 years post qualification experience in a related field

(a) Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Enquiry Counter of the MPA Office, Port Mathurin Rodrigues. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.

(b) The Notice of Vacancies and the MPA Application Form as well as other details regarding qualifications, duties, etc are available on the website of the Mauritius Ports Authority at www.mauport.com.

(c) The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Thursday 31 August 2023.

(d) Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.

(e) The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates

(f) Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered.
