The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the under-mentioned positions:

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE |
(i) A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’. (ii) Barrister with at least seven years standing at the Bar |

QUALIFICATIONS |
(i) A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’. (ii) Member of one of the following Accounting Bodies: ICAEW or CIMA or ACCA (iii) Master’s in Business Administration or Finance or Accounting or equivalent Note: Certified Internal Auditor qualification would be an advantage |

| EXPERIENCE | Minimum of 10 years’ experience post membership qualification with an Accounting body (ICAEW or CIMA or ACCA) as an Auditor/Accountant, of which 5 years’ should be at a senior Managerial level | |

(ii) Bachelor Degree in Quality Management or Quality Assurance or Management or Economics or Finance or Auditing or equivalent (iii) Masters in Business Administration or Quality Management or Quality Assurance or equivalent |

| EXPERIENCE | At least 7 years post- qualification experience in the management field out of which 3 years should be in the maintenance of Quality Systems | |

(iii) Master’s in Business Administration or Public Relations or Marketing or Communications or equivalent. |

| EXPERIENCE | Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the Public Relations / Marketing / Communications field, of which 3 years’ should be at a Managerial level. | |

Diploma of the Institute of Fire Engineers (Level 3) or equivalent Note: Masters in Emergency Services Administration / Crisis and Disaster Management /Masters in Business Administration would be an advantage |

| EXPERIENCE | At least 10 years’ experience in firefighting, fire prevention and environmental protection out of which 5 years’ should be at a Senior position in the field of Emergency Services. | |
| 6. | POST | TECHNICIAN, HARBOUR RADIO |

QUALIFICATIONS |
(i) A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ (ii) Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Operator Certificate Note: Experience as VTS Operator would be an advantage |

| Selected candidates for the post of Technician, Harbour Radio would be offered appointment in a temporary capacity pending vacancy arising in the grade | ||
Note:
- Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.
- The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Friday 15 March 2024.
- Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
- The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates.
- Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered.
