NOTICE OF VACANCIES

The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the under-mentioned positions:

1.

POST

:

 

MANAGER, TRAINING DEVELOPMENT & PERFORMANCE

 

SALARY SCALE

:

 

Rs 54,300 x 1,525 – 61,925 x 2,200 – 64,125 x 2,525 – 71,700 x 3,725 – 82,875 x 5,050 – 108,125

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

(ii)

A Degree in the field of Human Resources Management or Management with specialisation in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology or Management or Law and Management or Strategic Management or a joint degree with HR

 

 

 

(iii)

A Master’s Degree in the field of Business Administration or Human Resources Management or Strategic Management or Industrial and Organisational Psychology or LLM or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

:

 

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Human Resources Management, of which at least 3 years should be at a senior position

SUPERINTENDENT, PORT SECURITY

 

SALARY SCALE

:

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

(ii)

Diploma in Police Studies or Security Management or Security and Risk Management or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE

:

 

At least 7 years’ proven experience in the Security field in a large organisation, of which at least 3 years’ should be at a Supervisory level.

:

 

CHIEF TECHNICIAN, ELECTRICAL SERVICES

 

SALARY SCALE

:

 

Rs 33,100 x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 42,100 x 1,525 – 61,925 x 2,200 – 64,125 x 2,525 – 69,175

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’.

 

 

 

(ii)

Diploma in Electrical Engineering

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 4 years post qualification experience in related field

 

 

 

Note: Experience in instrumentation & control and HV power systems would be an advantage.

:

(i)

Proof of secondary education of up to at least Grade 9 (Form 3)

National Certificate Level 4 Mechanical Trade or equivalent Vocational Training

 

 

 

(iii)

Holder of a valid driving license

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 4 years post qualification experience in related field

:

(i)

Proof of secondary education of up to at least Grade 9 (Form 3)

National Certificate Level 4 (Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Production Trade) or equivalent Vocational Training

 

 

 

(iii)

Holder of a valid driving license

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 4  years post qualification experience in related field.

DRIVER (OFFICE)

 

SALARY SCALE

:

 

Rs 21,925 x 650 – 23,225 x 775 – 24,000 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425 – 39,250

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC).

 

 

 

(ii)

Proof of Secondary Education of at least up to Grade 9 (Form 3)

 

 

 

(iii)

Holder of a clean and valid driving license to drive motor cars, buses and goods vehicles

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 3 years of experience in driving duties.

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications
     

Note:

Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.

The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Friday 19 January 2024.

Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.

The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates.

Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered. 

The Mauritius Ports Authority reserves the right to convene the best qualified candidates for the selection exercise and/ or not to proceed with the above vacancies following this advertisement.
