PROCUREMENT NOTICE

OPEN NATIONAL BIDDING

SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF SHORE POWER FOR MPA TUGS AT QUAY E

CONTRACT NO: MPA 697/2026

The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting bids from local bidders for the Contract MPA 697/2026 – Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Shore Power for MPA Tugs at Quay E as more fully described in the bidding document.

Bidding exercise shall be conducted through the Open National Bidding method according to the procurement rules and regulations issued by the Procurement Policy Office.

Qualifications

Bidders should have the following minimum qualification to be eligible as a contractor for undertaking the project:

1. valid registration certificate with the Construction Industry Authority (CIA) under the grade that will enable the contractor to perform the works quoted for, under the following class(es): Grade G and above;
2. experience in at least three works of a similar nature over the last 5 years, each of value not less than the quoted price; and
3. Other qualifying criteria as mentioned in the bidding document.

Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Visit

Bidders or their designated representatives are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting/site visit on Tuesday 24 March 2026 at 11.00 hours. The meeting place is the Conference Room of the Mauritius Ports Authority at Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis.

Submission of Bids

Bids (one original and one copy) sealed in a single envelope must be submitted in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, clearly marked “Contract MPA 697/2026 – Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Shore Power for MPA Tugs at Quay E” and should be addressed to the Director General, Mauritius Ports Authority, H. Ramnarain Building, Port Louis.

Deadline for the submission of bids

Bids should be either deposited in the Bid Box located in the Chief Officer’s Office, Mauritius Ports Authority, 1^st Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis or submitted by registered post or courier so as to reach the Mauritius Ports Authority on or before Tuesday 21 April 2026 up to 14.00 hours at latest. 

Bids will be opened on the same day as the closing date at 14.15 hours in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

Bids received after the specified closing date and time will not be considered.

The Mauritius Ports Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to annul the bidding process and to reject all bids at any time prior to award of the Contract, without thereby incurring any liability to any Bidder.
