NOTICE OF VACANCIES

The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the under-mentioned positions:

1.	POST	:	SUPERINTENDENT, PORT SECURITY
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 39,250 x 1,425– 42,100 x 1,525 – 61,925 x 2,200 – 64,125 x 2,525 – 71,700 x 3,725 – 82,875
	QUALIFICATIONS	:	A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ Diploma in Police Studies or Security Management or Security and Risk Management or equivalent.
	EXPERIENCE	:	At least 7 years’ proven experience in the Security field in a large organisation, of which at least 3 years’ should be at a Supervisory level.
	AGE LIMIT	:	Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications Note: Consideration for contractual employment may be given to applicants above 45 years of age

2.	POST	:	TECHNICAL OFFICER, PORT DEVELOPMENT
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 39,250 x 1,425– 42,100 x 1,525 – 61,925 x 2,200 – 64,125 x 2,525 – 71,700 x 3,725 – 82,875
	QUALIFICATIONS	:	A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
	EXPERIENCE	:	At least 2 years’ proven experience in a Civil Engineering environment

3.	POST	:	OFFICER FINANCE
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 29,250 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 42,100 x 1,525 – 58,875
	QUALIFICATIONS	:	A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ At least 5 subjects of the fundamental level of the ACCA OR Diploma in Finance / Accounting or equivalent.
	EXPERIENCE	:	Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Accounting / Finance field. Note: Working experience in Oracle Financial would be an advantage

4.	POST	:	OFFICER, ESTATE MANAGEMENT & LICENSING
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 29,250 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 42,100 x 1,525 – 58,875
	QUALIFICATIONS	:	A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’, including Mathematics. Diploma in Land Surveying or Management or equivalent.
	EXPERIENCE	:	At least 3 years’ experience in Estate Management or Cadastral survey or equivalent
	AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY	:	Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

5.	POST	:	OFFICER QUALITY
	SALARY SCALE	:	Rs 29,250 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 42,100 x 1,525 – 58,875
	QUALIFICATIONS	:	A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’ Diploma in Quality Management or Quality Assurance or Management or Economics or Finance or equivalent
	EXPERIENCE	:	At least 3 years post qualification relevant experience preferably in the Quality field
	AGE LIMIT	:	Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

Note:

Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.

The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Friday 21 November 2025.

Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.

The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates.

Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered.

The Mauritius Ports Authority reserves the right to convene the best qualified candidates for the selection exercise and/ or not to proceed with the above vacancies following this advertisement.
