The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified Rodriguan candidates for the filling of the under-mentioned positions:

1.

POST

:

TECHNICIAN, TUG SERVICES (PORT MATHURIN)

 

SALARY SCALE

:

Rs 21,925 x 650 – 23,225 x 775 – 24,000 x 875 – 31,000 x 1,000 – 32,000x 1,100 – 36,400 x 1,425– 40,675

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:
  1. Form 3
  1. National Certificate Level 3 (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent Vocational Training

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 3 years post qualification experience in a related field

 

AGE LIMIT

:

Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

:

QUALIFICATIONS

:
  1. Primary School Achievement Certificate (PSAC)
  2. Certificate of Competency as Skipper on fishing vessel of less than 24m issued by Ministry of Ocean Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Shipping or holder of Skipper Licence issued by the Tourism Authority

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 1 year of experience on board of fishing vessels

 

AGE LIMIT

:

Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

Note:

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Enquiry Counter of the MPA Office, Port Mathurin Rodrigues. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.
  1. The Notice of Vacancies and the MPA Application Form as well as other details regarding qualifications, duties, etc are available on the website of the Mauritius Ports Authority at www.mauport.com.
  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned posts is Thursday 27 November 2025.
  1. Candidates should attach documentary evidence of qualifications and work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  1. The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates.
  1. Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered. 
  1. The Mauritius Ports Authority reserves the right to convene the best qualified candidates for the selection exercise and/ or not to proceed with the above vacancies following this advertisement.
