NOTICE TO ALL SHIP AGENTS

Pursuant to the Public Health Act and in accordance with the measures implemented by the Ministry of Health and Wellness to safeguard public health from any risk arising from the current Ebola Virus Disease outbreaks in the African region, the following measures will be in force at the Port as from 09 June 2026 as from 00 01 hrs –

  • temporary prohibition of entry for vessel having any person onboard who has travelled from, transited through, or who has been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Uganda or the Republic of South Sudan within the preceding 21 days.

  • Any person disembarking / signing off from vessel shall duly fill in the health declaration form (yellow form attached).

  • Any person who –
    (a) refuses to fill in the health declaration form;
    (b) knowingly gives false information in the health declaration form, shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 500,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years (Government Notice No. 107 of 2026).

Moreover, the following mandatory documents shall be submitted through the Vessel Clearance System prior to the arrival of any vessel at Port Louis harbour:

  1. Last 10 Ports of Call;
  2. Maritime Declaration of Health;
  3. Crew list.

Ship Agents are requested to ensure strict compliance.
