The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified Rodriguan candidates for the filling of vacancy in the grade of PORT OPERATIVE:

 

SALARY SCALE

:

Rs 18,600 x 600 - 19,800 x700 - 20,500 x 800 - 26,900 X 900 - 27,800 X 1,000 - 31,800 X 1,300 - 35,700

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

Certificate of Primary Education

 

 

:

(ii)

Certificate of Competency as Skipper on fishing vessel of less than 24 meters issued by Ministry of Ocean Economy, Marine Resources, Fisheries and Shipping or holder of Skipper Licence issued by the Tourism Authority

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 1 year of experience on board fishing vessels

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 48 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

NOTE: -

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form obtainable from the MPA Office, Port Mathurin, Rodrigues or at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly filled application forms should be forwarded to the Director General at the above address or the Mauritius Ports Authority Office, Port Mathurin, Rodrigues.

  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned post is Friday 13 March 2020 at 1600 hours.
  1. Candidates should attach written evidence of work experience failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  1. Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered.
