CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the recruitment of a PORT MASTER: -

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

Certificate of competency as a Foreign-going Master Class I as per revised STCW. 

 

 

(ii)

Master’s in Business Administration or MSc in Marine Economics & Logistics or MSc in Marine Safety & Environmental Management or MSc in Sustainable Development or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 10 years’ post-qualification experience at Senior Management Level in the Maritime business

REMUNERATION

:

The above position carries a flat basic salary of Rs 151,480

AGE LIMIT

:

Candidates should be 55 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

Note: Consideration may be given to candidates above 55 years of age for employment on contract basis

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis.  The duly filled application forms should be forwarded to the Director General at the above address.
  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned post is 14 January 2022.
  1. Candidates should attach documentary evidence of work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  1. The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities rests on the candidates.
