The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the post of MANAGER PORT EMERGENCY SERVICES

SALARY SCALE

Rs 54,300 x 1,525 – 61,925 x 2,200 – 64,125 x 2,525 – 71,700 x 3,725 – 82,875 x 5,050 – 108,125

QUALIFICATIONS

(i) A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level

(ii) Diploma of the Institute of Fire Engineers (Level 3) or equivalent

(iii) Bachelor Degree in Emergency Services Administration /Disaster and Emergency Management / Business Management or equivalent

(iv) Masters in Emergency Services Administration / Crisis and Disaster Management /Masters in Business Administration or equivalent

(v) Certificates in swimming/diving

(vi) First Aid Certificate

EXPERIENCE

At least 10 years’ experience in firefighting,fire prevention and environmental protection out of which:

(i) 5 years should be at the level of a Superintendent (PES)

OR

(ii) 3 years’ should be at an Assistant Chief Fire Officer  level.

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly signed forms should be forwarded to the Ag Director General at the above address.

  1. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above-mentioned post is Wednesday 03 July 2024.
