The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of vacancy in the grade of:-

1.

POST

:

MANAGER, ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES (MARINE)

 

SALARY SCALE

:

Rs 48,200 x 1,400 - 55,200 x 2,000 - 57,200 x 2,300 – 64,100 x 3,400 - 74,300 x 4,600 - 97,300

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’

 

 

 

(ii)

Bachelor Degree in Management or Public Sector Management or Public Administration or Law or Member of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) or equivalent

 

 

 

(iii)

Masters in Business Administration or Public Sector Management or Law or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 7 years’ post qualification experience in administrative / legal / management field out of which 3 years should be at a senior position level

:

Candidates should be 45 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications.

MANAGER (QUALITY)

 

SALARY SCALE

:

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

Bachelor Degree in Quality Management or Quality Assurance or Management or equivalent

 

 

 

(iii)

Masters in Business Administration or Quality Management or Quality Assurance or equivalent

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 5 years’ post qualification experience in the management field out of which 3 years should be in the maintenance of Quality Systems

:

:

Rs 17,100 x 500 – 18,600 x 600 – 19,800 x 700 – 20,500 x 800 – 26,900 x 900 – 27,800 x 1,000 – 30,800

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

Secondary schooling up to Form 3

 

 

 

(ii)

Certificate in Food Science

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 3 years’ proven experience as Cook

:

Candidates should be 40 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

  1. Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis.  The duly filled application forms should be forwarded to the Director General at the above address.
  2. The Notice of Vacancies and the MPA Application Form as well as other details regarding qualifications, duties etc are available on the website of the Mauritius Ports Authority at www.mauport.com
  3. The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above mentioned posts is Monday 12 April 2021. Wednesday 17 March 2021. ***
  4. Candidates should attach documentary evidence of work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.
  5. The onus for the submission of equivalence of qualifications from relevant authorities’ rests on the candidates in respect of the posts of Manager, Administrative Services (Marine) and Manager (Quality).
  6. Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview.  Late applications will not be considered.
