The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of vacancy in the grades of:-

1. POST	SUPERINTENDENT (ELECTRICAL SERVICES -MARINE)
SALARY SCALE	Rs 34,400 x 1,300 – 37,000 x 1,400 – 55,200 x 2,000 – 57,200 x 2,300 – 64,100 x 3,400 – 74,300
QUALIFICATIONS	(i) A Cambridge School Certificate with credit in at least 5 subjects including English Language, French and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings
	(ii) Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Certificate of Competency (Class 3) in Marine Engineering
EXPERIENCE	At least 5 years’ post qualification experience out of which two years should be in marine field *Note:* Experience in instrumentation & control and HV power systems would be an advantage
AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY	Candidates should not have reached their 55th birthday by the closing date for the submission of applications. Note: Consideration may be given to candidates of 55 years of age and above for employment on contract basis.

2. POST	TRAINEE SEAMAN (ENGINE)
SALARY SCALE	Rs 15,600 x 500 – 18,600 x 600 – 19,800 x 700 – 20,500 x 800 – 26,100
QUALIFICATIONS	Rating Forming Part of the Engine Watch (RFPEW)
AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY	Candidates should be within the age of 18 – 30 years

Candidates should submit their application on the prescribed MPA application form which may be obtained at the Reception Counter of the MPA, Ground Floor, H. Ramnarain Building, Mer Rouge, Port Louis. The duly filled application forms should be forwarded to the Director General at the above address.

The closing date for the submission of applications in respect of the above mentioned posts is Thursday 06 May 2021.

Candidates should attach documentary evidence of work experience claimed failing which consideration would not be given to the application.

Only the best qualified candidates will be convened for interview. Late applications will not be considered.
