The Mauritius Ports Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the filling of the under-mentioned positions: -

1.

POST

:

MANAGER, HUMAN RESOURCES (ON CONTRACT)

 

SALARY

:

Negotiable

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

(i)

A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced Level’.

 

 

 

(ii)

A Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or Management with specialisation in Human Resources or equivalent.

 

 

 

(iii)

Masters of Business Administration or MSc in Human Resource Management or MSc in Strategic Management or MSc in Industrial and Organisational Psychology or LLM or equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 5 years’ post qualification (first degree) experience in Human Resources Management at middle management level.

POST

:

INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER (ON CONTRACT)

 

SALARY

:

Negotiable

 

QUALIFICATIONS

:

Degree in the field of computer science and/or Information Security, Information Technology or equivalent qualifications acceptable to the Authority

 

 

A Master’s Degree in Information Technology or Information Security or Project Management or equivalent would be desirable.

 

 

Note:  Certification in relevant Security and Privacy discipline (such as CISA, CISSP, CEH, CIPM, CIPP or other security and Privacy certification at a similar level) would be an advantage

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 5 years’ post qualification experience working in Security, Privacy or Governance position and supporting stakeholder or senior management committees in their efficient operation.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

:

  1. Hold technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems, and a wide range of security technologies, such as network security appliances, identity and access management systems.
  2. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and strong track record in identifying, managing and tracking security and privacy risks and industry best practices.
  3. Good understanding of applicable data protection regulations and its requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

:

Certificate of Competency as Foreign Going Master class 1 unlimited as per STCW 1978 as amended

 

EXPERIENCE

:

Proven experience as 1st mate on foreign-going vessels

OR

Proven Pilotage experience of 5 years

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 55 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications

Note: Consideration may be given to candidates above 55 years of age for employment on contract basis

A.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

Certificate of Competency as Skipper of Fishing vessel of more than 24 meters in length issued by the Directorate of Shipping or Certificate of Competency (CoC 3) unlimited to serve as deck officer on cargo vessel as per STCW 1978 as amended

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least 2 years as Skipper on a fishing vessel / 2 years as officer of watch on cargo vessel engaged in International trade

OR

 

 

B.

QUALIFICATIONS

:

Second Mate Certificate of Competency Class III unlimited

 

EXPERIENCE

:

At least three years’ experience in watch-keeping

 

AGE LIMIT FOR ENTRY

:

Candidates should be 55 years of age or below by the closing date of submission of applications
