During his recent visit to Mauritius, the Rt. Hon. Jeffrey Evans, more commonly known as His Lordship Lord Mountevans, Lord Mayor of the City of London dedicated a full halfday to the MPA on Tuesday 1 March 2016.
Mr. Ramalingum Maistry hosted a lunch fo the esteemed guest and his delegation which comprised H E Mr.Jonathan Drew, British High Commissioner, Mr. Neil Chrimes, Aide de Camp to the Lord Mayor, Mr. L'Eveque, Media Manager and Mr. Atma Beeharry Panray, Trade & Investment Officer, both from the British High Commission, at the Labourdonnais Waterfront Hotel at Caudan.
The delegation thereafter met at the MPA head offices for a presentation on Port Louis Harbour and discussions on a Memorandum of Understanding and cooperation between the Authority and Maritime London, the professional body for UK based companies providing professional services to the international shipping industry.
It was also the occasion for the Lord Mayor to sign the visitors book and receive a token gift from the MPA's Chairman.
